Training

Industrial Measurement Services (IMS) offers a variety of on-site training to maximize productivity. When it comes to training – we literally “wrote the book”. Having worked for the OEM for over 15 years, we have trained hundreds of operators, written several training manuals, and developed curriculums with exercises that are typical for each industry we serve. If you are renting equipment from us, recently purchased new equipment, or have had personnel turnover, IMS will help your operators be productive.

Industrial Measurement Services, Inc. is an authorized reseller of Verisurf Software and offers authorized Verisurf training classes on all portable instruments.  We offer shorter Job Specific Training classes to get you through a specific project in a short amount of time, or more comprehensive training classes.   The recommended duration of a class may vary depending on the background / experience of the students and the difficulty of the task.

Discounted Training is available for all Equipment Rentals!

Verisurf Job Specific Training

A Job Specific Training Class will introduce the operator to both the hardware and software, and show them how to perform a specific task or measurement project.  This is ideal for getting an operator confident to perform repetitive measurement tasks in a short time period.

Verisurf Faro or Romer Arm Basic Training

Faro or Romer Arm Training is a move comprehensive training class that takes a more in depth look at the software and prepares the operator to take on various types of jobs and more challenging tasks.  It covers everything including equipment setup, calibration checks, inspecting to CAD models, setting up alignments, creating job templates for repetitive tasks and reporting.

Laser Tracker  Advanced Training

Laser Trackers are typically used for larger projects where temperature, vibrations, environment, and setup can impact accuracy and repeatability.  Additionally, larger parts typically require the instrument being moved around to multiple stations, the development and management of more complex reference systems, compensating for TCE, and sometimes multiple alignments, in addition to the items covered in the Basic Training Class.. These variables could make additional days of training necessary.
